The rooms at Manoir D'Hautegente are totally spot-on! I mean, seriously, they have everything you need for a comfy stay, like satellite TV and even a seating area for when you just wanna chill after a long day of exploring. As a backpacker, I couldn't ask for more!
I gotta be honest here, the only thing I liked less was the air conditioning. It's just my personal opinion though, some people might still dig it.

It has an exceptional setting in the country some 30 min from Sarlat.. A relaxing change. New chef seems to be doing fine with the menu. Madame Hamlin, the owner is very gracious.

Staff friendly. Unpretentious elegance, cozy with fire. Perfectly cooked food, local and seasonal. Impeccable service, owners accommodating. Dogs welcome, bowls washed. Highly recommend, regret only one night.

An exquisite hotel in a beautiful location. Sipping champagne outside on the terrace, next to the river which flows through the grounds of the manor house, we really felt we'd chanced upon a paradise! Dinner each evening was a gourmet's treat. Madame presides over all with charm and professionalism.

The rooms at Manoir D'Hautegente were absolutely cozy and inviting. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in.
Personally, I would have preferred a larger seating area in the rooms.

It feels like you're staying in the middle of nowhere, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. The location provides easy access to a variety of leisure activities such as fishing, canoeing, and cycling. We had a fantastic time exploring the area and enjoying these outdoor adventures.
For dads, it would be great if the hotel had a dedicated play area or playground for children.

Beautiful historical building with lovely gardens and swimming pool. Good location for visiting lots of great towns. Staff were helpful.
This hotel only serves gourmet food, and whilst it was beautifully presented the taste of our the dishes we choose was very bland. The same menu is offered every evening (+one dish of the day). In addition, the bedroom was very small and the bed was too hard (for us). Lovely bathroom but no hair dryer. Service at breakfast time was only okay. Never seemed to be enough dishes available.

The grounds were beautiful and the views stunning. The pool was secluded by hedges which was very tasteful and provided shade and sunny areas. The restaurant in the evening was superb. Staff were very nice and friendly and the hotel has a very relaxing ambiance.
The bed was very uncomfortable and the room dated. Hand-held shower over the bath was not acceptable.

We had an incredible stay at this luxurious hotel by the river. The location was stunning, with beautiful grounds and breathtaking views. The outdoor swimming pool was secluded and provided both shade and sunny areas. The restaurant on-site served outstanding food, and we enjoyed dining on the terrace overlooking the river. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed ambiance throughout our stay. The room was spacious and well-appointed, equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The free Wi-Fi and air conditioning added to the convenience. We also appreciated the attentive service, including the welcome drink and assistance with tours and tickets.
We would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Spent Easter at a lovely historic location. Enjoyed the beautiful grounds and tranquil river views. the restaurant had good food and the friendly staff were attentive. the traditional furniture created a unique atmosphere to the place.
The cleaning needs improvement. the beds were uncomfortable and the presence of bugs made it even less desirable.
